Authorities have released the names of
two people killed after the motorcycle they were riding went off
Montana 24 south of Glasgow.
Valley County Sheriff Glen Meier says 34-year-old Douglas Duane
O\'Connor of Nashua was driving with 32-year-old Melinda Lyn
Bennett, also of Nashua, riding on the back when he failed to
negotiate a curve at about 6:30 p.m. Friday. The motorcycle went
into a ditch, hit a reflector and rolled.
O\'Connor was pronounced dead at the scene, and Bennett was
pronounced dead at Francis Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow.
The Highway Patrol says speed appears to have played a role in
the crash. Neither victim was wearing a helmet.
