Lily Lake Fire Flares Up

A fire in southwest Montana flares up again forcing several trails to close. The Lily Lake fire is burning about 10 miles northeast of Wisdom, Montana. Crews are blaming warm, dry, and windy weather for the flare up. Emergency trail closures are in effect for the Lily Lake to Sand Lake Trail, the Pioneer Loop Trail, the Demijohn Creek Trail, and the McVey Creek Trail. Recreationists and hunters should use extreme caution in and around the fire area. Dead standing trees could fall at any time.
