Montana Master Knife Smith

One Frenchtown man's love affair wiht fire, and steel, started 17 years ago on a baseball diamond. Josh Smith's little league coach would bring hunting knives to practice to let parents see them.
To the small town of Frenchtown, with less than a thousand people, has one man who is known around the world. Smith's art mixes steel, flames, and sweat. A craft that was born centuries ago.
Smith holds a very prestigious honor. He is the youngest master smith, ever. He achieved the certification at 19. Besting the next smith by ten years.
To get certified, Smith had to forge a blade that could chop through a one inch rope. The blade then had to chop two 2x4's in half, and then still be able to shave. As if that wasn't enough for the super blade, Smith then had to bend it 90 degrees in without snapping it in two.
Smith never thought a passion sparked 17 years ago, on a little league field, would've changed his life so much.
